Summer Mission Experiences

As Followers, we are on Jesus’ mission everyday and everywhere we go. We don’t take a “trip” to DO mission work, but our mission work sometimes TAKES us to new and far away places. And more often than that, it TAKES us into the streets, public spaces and lives of people in Hot Springs. Both opportunities allow us to EXPERIENCE following Jesus on His mission!

Here are TWO mission experiences this summer:

New Orleans Mission Experience

July 7-14

What: Each summer Carrollton Ave. Church in New Orleans does 3 weeks of camp for children in their Mid-City Ministries sharing the love of God with them through tutoring and basic educational instruction. Groups like NPC provide staff and support for their existing camp.

Who: We currently have 7 NPC students and several adults planning to go. We would love to have another couple or some adult ladies to go along with us.

What you can do to help:

Support the Hot Dog fundraiser on Wednesday night, May 16. The menu is grilled hot dogs/buns, condiments, homemade chili, grated cheese, chips, mac-n-cheese, salad, brownies, and drinks. All proceeds will go to the expenses of NPC students going on the trip.

Give us some feedback here about the June 3rd fundraiser:

Begin praying for the children of Mid-City Ministries, the Carrollton Ave. church and our NPC group. Pray for safe travel, that we will be the light of Jesus to those children and that they will be receptive to the love of Jesus in us.

Christian Creations Art Camp

It’s a Jungle Out There!

July 23-25

What: This is our 2nd big Hot Springs outreach of the year (after One EGGcellent Day for Jesus). Art Camp is a 3 day camp for kids ages 4-5th grade where they will experience the message of Jesus through the Bible and craft projects. It runs from 9-noon with an awards ceremony/celebration on Wednesday night instead of our regular Bible classes.

What you can do:

Begin praying for the children and families we will have an opportunity to interact with through this outreach.

Begin looking for volunteer sheets and the overall Blueprint coming soon!
